Welcome to our web site, the headquarters for the 2015 Holiday Parade of Boats in Los Angeles Harbor. This annual parade, celebrating the 53rd year with a playful theme ‘Santa’s Minions,’ marks the start of the Holiday Season here in the harbor. Los Angeles Deputy Mayor of Economic Development, Kelli Bernard will lead this year’s parade as Grand Marshal along with Commodore of the Fleet, 15th District Councilman Joe Buscaino aboard the Irving Johnson and Exy Johnson, the official Tall Ships and Maritime Ambassadors of the City of Los Angeles. Vessels of all shapes and sizes will participate including powerboats, sailboats, tall ships and harbor working craft.

Entries will be judged and trophies awarded for various classifications, such as Originality, Theme, Type of Entry and more. The parade will again be televised via LA36,  Los Angeles Community Television cable channel. Home viewers may also watch the parade on Los Angeles CityView Channel 35. For air times, visit www.lacityview.org.

The parade will be held on Saturday, December 5th beginning at 6 PM in the Port’s East Basin. Viewing locations along the parade route, located in Wilmington, the San Pedro waterfront, Ports O’ Call, Warehouse #1, Cabrillo and Holiday Harbor Marinas and more (click here for a map of the parade route), will afford spectators unencumbered views of the elaborately decorated boats and the opportunity for friends and family to join in the celebration, whether taking advantage of the many restaurants and clubs at Ports O’ Call or organizing an informal pot-luck.

Join us in making the 53rd L.A. Harbor Holiday Afloat parade truly “Spectacular” as we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season in the nation’s largest international trade gateway.
