Battleship Iowa to host Children’s judging station

USS Iowa in her berth at San PedroWe are pleased to announce that the Battleship Iowa will again host the Children’s Choice judging station.

Built in 1940, the USS IOWA served our country for over 50 years, in WWII, and the Korean Conflict. Known as “the Battleship of Presidents”, no other battleship in our nation’s history has been host to more U.S. Presidents than the IOWA.

Now serving in her new mission as a floating Naval Museum, the IOWA has been designated as a Judging Station (see Parade Route) for the parade, hosting a contingent of school children that choose the recipients of the Children’s Choice Trophy.

We are pleased to welcome the Battleship IOWA and the Pacific Battleship Center as participants & supporters of our annual on-the-water event.
